No they are not. Please avoid wearing board shorts and rash shirts. We are an indoor swimming pool so rash shirts are not required. They also hinder a child's stroke development.
This is actually not the case, it’s quite common for children to cry through their first few lessons. There are a few strategies you can follow to make the experience easier for your child and the instructor, follow the link below for more information;
Absolutely! The more often you swim the faster you progress.
Yes, our classes run on a continuous month to month basis, where your enrolment is ongoing and not by the school term. Which means you can join classes at any time. Continual classes throughout the year is beneficial for their swimming development and progress.
Our preferred method of payment is through Direct Debit, where payments are monthly.
Alternately, you may pay for 2 months at a time over the counter, via bank transfer or through our Swimmerz Portal.
We require at least 4 hours’ notice before your class for a make-up class, you may have 2 makeup lessons every 2 months. If non-attendance is notified inside of 4 hours, a doctor’s certificate MUST be provided, or an email may be sent for consideration depending on the circumstances. Make-up classes need to booked in within 45 days of absence via the parent portal.
Holiday Intensives and Clinics can be booked through the Parent Portal. Give us a call and we can organise a trial / assessment class to determine your child's swimming ability. We can then book them into our Holiday Intensive classes.
Taking a break from swimming will affect a child's swimming progress, and chances are their swimming ability will regress during the break.
We require at 30 days notice or $50 cancellation to cancel your ongoing membership.
When returning to swimming after having a break of more than 4 weeks you will be required to be reassessed upon your return as your fitness and skills will have been affected during your break period. So you may not return to the same level or squad that you were in before the break.
The kids that do really at the swimming carnivals, zone and regionals or equivalent are the kids that swim or train all year round. Swimming is not a seasonal sport for these kids. The sooner you start swimming the better.
